Day 1
McLeod Ganj
Day 1: The Spiritual Heart of McLeod Ganj
Focus on the cultural center of the region. Most attractions here are walkable from the McLeod Ganj main square.
- Morning: Dalai Lama Temple & Tibet Museum
- Dalai Lama Temple: Start your day at the official residence of the Dalai Lama. It’s a peaceful space where you can watch monks debating or join the "Kora" (a meditative walk around the complex).
- Tibet Museum: Located within the complex, it provides a moving look into Tibetan history and the struggle in exile.
- Afternoon: Bhagsu Falls & Temple
- Bhagsu Nag Temple: A quick 2-3 km trip from the main square leads to this ancient Shiva temple.
- Bhagsu Waterfall:Hike about 1 km further up from the temple. If you have the energy, continue another 15 minutes uphill to reach the famous Shiva Café for views and snacks.
- Evening: Mall Road & Local Food
- Explore the McLeod Ganj Market for handicrafts and Tibetan street food like momos and thukpa.
- Then come to hotel and take rest.
Day 2
Dharamshala
Morning
- After breakfast checkout from McLeod Ganj hotel and then taxi will pick you up and do sightseeing of dharmshala.
- St. John in the Wilderness Church: An 1852 Anglican church set in a dense deodar forest between McLeod Ganj and Dharamshala. It is known for its beautiful stained glass and peaceful atmosphere.
- HPCA Cricket Stadium: Visit one of the world's most scenic cricket grounds, famous for its snow-capped mountain backdrop.
- Tea Gardens & War Memorial: Stop by the lush Kangra Tea Estates for a quick walk and tea tasting, followed by the nearby War Memorial honoring Himachal soldiers.
- Overnight journey by Volvo with beautiful mountain memories.
Optional: The Triund Trek or Dharamkot (If you have 1 day extra)If you prefer adventure over sightseeing, replace Day 3 with the Triund Trek.
- Details: It is a moderate 4–6 hour hike (9 km) starting from Dharamkot or Naddi Village.
- Reward: It offers 360-degree views of the Dhauladhar range and Kangra Valley.
Dharamkot:- Dharamkot is a peaceful hill village near McLeod Ganj, famous for its mountain views, cafés, yoga retreats, and relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature.
